Educational walking tours
We offer tours dedicated to French presence in London especially in South Kensington and Soho. They are a unique way to learn about French landmarks in London and about French history (Huguenots, French revolutions, WWII, etc)
The tours can be delivered in French, in easy French, in a mixture of French and English or in English with a French twist. For each tour, students get a form with questions in link with the tour.
1) In the steps of the French in Soho ; it is about the history of French presence in London from XVIth century (Huguenots) to nowadays, explaining French refugees coming to exile in London and stories of many French fellows who settled in Soho through centuries. 2) French landmarks in South Kensington ; it is a tour showing and explaining what is French in this area and how and why it became the new French quarter (instead of Soho) – (duration about 2 hours and 2 miles from Knightsbridge to South Ken through Hyde Park – it can’t be shortened because of the distance).
